Born & Raised in Wasilla
Alina Rubeo is a second-generation, lifelong Wasilla resident. Alina understands the values, challenges, and opportunities that matter most to our families, businesses, and future generations. A graduate of Wasilla High School (Go Warriors!) and Oregon State University, Alina has built her life around service and strengthening the community she loves.
Family First
Alina is a wife and mother of four. Her commitment to Wasilla is grounded in faith, family, service, and community. She grew up working construction side-by-side with her parents right here in Wasilla. Alina believes leadership begins with listening, upholding integrity, and working together.
Business Leader
Alina and her husband started, own and have operated businesses in Wasilla for 19 years, including Edge Fitness, Edge Preschool, Edge Remodel, and Edge Athletics. As a small business owner, she understands the importance of a strong, sustainable local economy.
Community Leader
In 2019, Alina began her public service on the Wasilla Planning Commission, where she became known for thoughtful leadership, balanced decision-making, and a commitment to responsible growth. In 2022, she was appointed to the Wasilla City Council and was later elected to continue serving. In 2023, she was appointed Deputy Mayor of Wasilla. Alina focuses on transparency, fiscal responsibility, public safety, infrastructure, supporting local business, and preserving the quality of life that makes Wasilla a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
